An Array of the Concepts Visual Literacy
As we read in A Primer of Visual Literacy by Dondis, visual literacy is necessary to critically view and produce and communicate with visual information. The Association of College and Research Libraries, also known as ACRL, created the Visual Literacy Competency Standards for Higher Education to address the distinct issues presented by visual materials since they are no longer supplemental to, say, written information. This is an array visualizing the concepts of visual literacy made by D. Hattwig, K. Bussert, and A. Medaille based on those standards.
