Underground Home on Greek Island

Last night I watched a Netflix + BBC program titled The World's Most Extraordinary Homes (https://www.netflix.com/title/80213025) and the first episode was on underground houses & constructions. One particular home peaked my interest / inspired this blog post, this house is located on the beautiful Greek island of Antiparos (see image below, more info on the house here).

I was inspired by the odd geometry of this unconventional house, as the architects worked to embed this home both in the natural landscape and the historic culture of the island. The plan used traditional colors and building techniques from the region, this was important. The house is also ecologically-minded in that underground homes are energy efficient, this is also important. Natural sunlight fills each of the subterranean private rooms, this is obviously important. Thus design grounded in respect is Good Design.

I'd love to stay at this house but it rents for like $1500-$3000 a night, one week minimum... Good Design is also, at least in this case, Expensive Design.
